Business Fixer and Fractional COO for founder-led companies in fashion, media and creative.
I got into this work the hard way, by doing it. Thirty years inside creative businesses, running operations, managing transitions, rebuilding teams, fixing what was broken. Not as a consultant, but from the inside.
For 13 years I ran BoHil Media as Managing Director - publishing, commercial TV, e-commerce, digital transformation. I know what it means to be the person responsible for making a business actually work while everything around it keeps changing.
For 11 years I've been COO at Filling Pieces, one of Amsterdam's most recognised fashion and lifestyle brands. I've led the organisation through multiple phases, reduced operational costs by 24%, and helped build a company that can carry the brand it's become.
Along the way I've led 10+ reorganisations, restructurings and operational transformations across the creative industry. I've seen the same problems repeat themselves in different companies. I know where it breaks and how to fix it.

I've always been a fixer
It started early. Side jobs in my youth taught me the basics fast - efficiency, resilience, getting things done without over-complicating them.
That mindset never left. It evolved into a career built around one thing: solving the organisational problems that hold businesses back.

Based on the valuable lessons I learned during my journey of navigating and overcoming the real challenges of the creative industry, I’ve developed a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach.
What I've learned
Founders are exceptionally good at building brands. They're often less good - through no fault of their own - at building the organisation behind the brand. That's not a criticism. It's just a different skill set.
At some point every growing company hits the same wall: the informal structures that worked at 10 people don't work at 40. Decisions slow down. Ownership gets blurry. The founder ends up back in the middle of everything. Growth starts to feel like a burden instead of a reward.
That's the moment I get called in.
I work hands-on, project-based, from the inside. I identify what's actually causing the problem, build the solution and implement it - fast. Some engagements are focused and finite. Others grow into longer partnerships. Either way, the goal is the same: a business that runs without you having to be everywhere.
